An urban design, planning and development consulting firm, Gateway Planning Group, Inc. has been in business profitably for more than 15 years. Today it has four full time employees. Its primary office is located in Dallas and is co-located at the U.S. Headquarters of Balfour Beatty. It also has offices in Fort Worth and Austin.
Gateway Planning has developed a national reputation as a nimble firm crafting realistic urban design for neighborhood-focused development and setting up implementation programs for zoning and infrastructure to drive underlying value to sustain the fiscal capacity needed for long term reinvestment.
Representing our philosophy of work, the virtuous circle of that dynamic is depicted in the graphic above.
Carrying this approach into its civic affiliations, Gateway Planning is led by its founder Scott Polikov who serves on the respective National Boards of Directors of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) and the Form-Based Codes Institute (FBCI). The firm’s work seeks to embody the values and mission of those organizations.
In addition to receiving the Inaugural National Driehaus Award for Best Form-Based Code, Gateway Planning has received more CLIDE Awards (seven) than any other firm in its home region, Dallas/Fort Worth. Awarded by a national jury every two years for the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), the CLIDE Award represents “Celebrating Leadership in Development Excellence” for planning, design and community engagement.
