First Annual Driehaus Form-Based Codes Award-
The Congress for New Urbanism and the Form-Based Code Institute recognized the City of Leander's Station Area Plan as one of the first recipients of the national Driehaus Award. The Driehaus Award is given each year to a select group of communities throughout the nation that produces exemplary Form-Based Codes.
Leander was recognized for its Station Area Code. Only three communities were recognized in 2007: St. Lucie, Florida; Leander, Texas; and Gulfport, Mississippi.
The award was presented to the Gateway Planning Group team during the 15th Congress for New Urbanism, or CNU, held in Philadelphia in April 2007.

NCTCOG Celebrating Leadership in Development Excellence (CLIDE) Award-
Gateway Planning wins another CLIDE Award. Working to sustain the historic relevance of McKinney's Town Center, Gateway Planning lead the effort for the City in creating a new Town Center Master Plan. The process creates a certain future for the Historic Town Square and provides a TOD Plan preparing for a downtown connection to the Regional Rail System.
The Mills Branch Neighborhood plan and code initiative crafted by the Gateway Planning Group and TownScape, Inc. resulted in the City of Lancaster receiving the 2005 "Celebrating Leadership in Development Excellence" award from the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
Texas APA Awards-
The Gateway Planning Group, the City of McKinney and Craig International, Inc. collectively won the Texas American Planning Association awards for Best Current Planning, Best Project Plan and Community of the Year for the Regional Employment Center and Craig Ranch.
